What is "LOVE"?
Honestly, what is love? How do you know if you're in love or lust? Is there a spark? How do you know you have found "the one"? What if he/she passed you and you never took the chance to talk to her? How do you know what love is? Can it be found through technology? Through these "ads" that's mainly filled with lust and rather than matters of the heart? Through websites that charge you for subscription fees? So love does have a price? So how can we find love then? Is it that first moment when you see someone and realize they're really attractive and you're in love? Or is that lust? Then how do you know if you'll truly love them? If love is an emotion and emotions are signals from the brain, does that mean love is nothing more than a impulse? So saying that it was love at first sight, wouldn't be wrong then? Therefore, people do fall in love with looks and what's on the outside? Your sight is your first signal to your brain, which then sends impulses based on how he/she looks, then is that feeling love? How do you know if he/she is the one for you then? How does anyone know if he/she is the one for them? Then what exactly is love? What does it feel like? How do you know if it's for real? How is it meant to be? What if you're in love with the person but they don't feel the same about you? What does that mean? Were you really in love? Isn't love simply a feeling and emotion produced from chemicals and hormones in our mind? Isn't love a mechanism to ensure survival of our race? Then why is love so complicated? What is this love that everyone talks about? Is it something you can see? Something you can hear? What ignites this feeling? Does it have to do with attraction? Our senses? How does love begin? Scientifiy speaking it begins in the brain, then why do we feel heartache when we don't receive love? The heart is a muscle, it shouldn't feel pain right? Then is it our imagination of this pain ed "heart ache"? Is our mind simply playing tricks on us and sending and receiving impulses of pain when in fact there's no pain at all? Then if heart ache is fake or an illusion, wouldn't love be an illusion as well? Is that what love is? An illusion casts by the brain to make us see more in others than there really is? An illusion that ignites other impulses which causes the person to consume our thoughts, our dreams, and our life? Is that what love is? Is love an illusion? Is that what they mean when they say "blinded by love"? Then what of people in love? Is it all an illusion cast by our minds? Are we really fooling ourselves when we are with the one we supposedly love? Is love really something we can feel like happiness and sadness, anger, or grief? What does it mean to love someone? How can a 4 letter word hold so many questions? Is it love when you constantly think about her? No, that's obsession... What about when you feel your life isn't complete without her? When you just want her by your side? When everything just seems and boring and when she's around, the world is filled with life? Is that love? Or is it the times that take your breath away, like the view of a sunset on the mountains or on the plains or by the beach? Is it when you think about wanting her to experience what you're seeing, having her there with you, to experience the wonders of this world together? Is it the way she that's constantly on your mind, that can brighten your day faster than the sun ever could? Is it her small habits that you take in, the ones that makes you giggle and you find yourself even more attracted to her? Is it the way her skin glows with beauty, her eyes filled with mystery, her mind, constantly having you think on your feet, yet, you don't mind. Is it the way you can see yourself with her till death do you both part? To start a family with her? Knowing that if you're with her you're completely happy, she's the only one you need. Are these the feelings that signify love? Are these feelings what love is? Or are these feelings brought out because of love? Maybe someone who has experienced love could shed some light? I am just a 21 year old who thought he has experienced this feeling ed love, but it was a lie. Just what is it about love that eludes me? Is it the fact that I always put the lady on a ? Is it the fact that I'm willing to do anything just to be with her? To share the views, the moments, life, with her? Or is love something completely different? What do women look for when searching for love? What do they feel love is? What is love? Is love real? Or is it simply a product of our imagination? A defense mechanism for us to survive? What exactly is love and how does one find it? WHAT.... IS..... LOVE?
